Tasmanian entrepreneur Brad Smith is on top of the world officially, following the World MiniMoto Championships in Las Vegas yesterday.

The BRAAAP Founder all smiles, after providing a bike for two time American World Champion Michael Blose, who smoked the field in the final to win his third World Championship.

Smith’s hard work of building the American star a stronger and faster bike (with a 1900cc Daytona Anima engine) paying off handsomely, as Blose produced a barnstorming run against the world’s best.

Smith said “Michael was just awesome today, he never gave anyone a chance, and he had the perfect race and deserved to win the world title”.

He added “three bikes in the top ten last year and now Michael claims another world title, to be honest I am blown away by the results, to see just how far my company has come and to have a world number one plate for BRAAAP and Tasmania is very humbling”.

The Tasmanian also raced himself in Las Vegas, finishing a creditable 9th, while fellow Tasmanian Toby Wilkin failed to qualify for the final.

Now fans are getting the chance to secure all three BRAAAP Bikes through an auction on E-BAY, Blose’s world championship winning bike expected to attract plenty of interest.

Smith will return to Australia from the USA this Thursday.

Blose; a Multi-Time Winner at the event finished 3^rd in last year’s World Final and 10” Expert titles aboard his braaap Factory 150cc.

The braaap Team, this year have great support from Japanese Engine manufacture Daytona. The founder of braaap Motorcycle’s Brad Smith said “We are excited to have the support of Daytona and so pumped that we have our hands on the first 190cc Daytona Anima Engines for Michael Blose to compete with. This year is going to be good!”

Round 1 of the braaap Superlite Race Series Underlights is creeping up on us! It’s only days away.
The race series is open for all riding abilities and ages… We love spectators too!

It’s an action packed arvo/night so even if you don’t have a bike to race come along to enjoy the carnage and takeouts.

Where: Cambridge Moto Park, Hobart
Time: 2pm – after dark (9ish)
Classes: Girls, 10″, 12″, Junior boys, Junior Girls, Under 12′s

Who: All bikes are welcome as long as it has a horizontal engine and a max. 12inch rear wheel. Your bike will be scrutineered so make sure you have spare parts for the night and get it serviced/fixed up before you get to the track.. Contact Streeter/Waterboy/Gaz today to book your bike in to get it race ready

Cost: Give us a call on 1300 27 22 27 (1300braaap) so we can get you sorted with exactly what you need
One Day Licences and Club Memberships are available on the day
Eftpos is available on the day too
If you bring a volunteer to flag marshall we will knock $5 off the cost

Club 1day Fee: $10 (if you dont have a full year membership)
MA 1day licence: $45 (if you dont have a Race licence already)

Important Things To Know:
All bikes entered to race must have clear numbers on the front and side fenders (plastics)… The lovely lady lapscorers need to be able to see who you are and the only way they can do that when there is a bar banging race going on is by the number on your bike.
If you are under 18 you must be accompanied by a parent guardian to sign your indemnity forms.
BBQ & Drinks availble on the night so support the club and pack for a famine (stuff yourself silly) so we can keep these awesome races going!!!

Who’s going camping?

Easter is only a few days away! We are pumped for chocolate, camping trips, chocolate and riding! oh… and chocolate!

Let me introduce you to Lisa from the braaap Frankston store… Every Easter whether she’s in Tas or in Vic Lisa books out Easter to go camping with her mates… We had a lil chat to her about this….

Camping tips from a keen camper at heart:

1.It’s super important to pack the 3B’s

2. BBQ
3. Beer
…. make sure the three dont mix though!

2. Round up all your friends… if they dont have braaap’s, make sure they get them cos we’re not sharing!

3. Take a ton of petrol!
