"I had to get myself one of those" I said to myself...

Hi Braaapsters!
My name is Shane, 39 years old Husband, Dad and IT guy, weighing in at around 78kg’s
I have always liked motorbikes in some form since my school days in the late 80’s, but married life, kids and a thing called “being a responsible adult” kind of put the water on that fire!
Fast forward 20 or so years and along comes braaap! I first met the braaap family in the middle of this year while they were building the Frankston store…wow the braaapsters looked like a lot of fun - I had to get myself one of those I said to myself.
I took the plunged and bought a braaapster pro 125 and headed off for some training on the first day I had the bike, (at the Frankston MX track)…..I remember thinking ok no worries, I’ll start off on the little 125 and migrate to a bigger bike once I got the feel back again – first day back in the saddle and It was like trying to tame a Brumbie, the little 125cc 4stroke engine really surprised me with the amount of power it put out , and this was a brand new engine!
We had a awesome training day with coach Steve, who showed us the basics on how to ride a mini-mx bike. I have been back quite a few times to ride with Brad and the boys on Wednesday nights.
I am learning all the time and the beauty of it is the whole family can get involved in riding the braaapster! - I have taught Emma my 12yr old daughter to ride and the missus is also keen to get a turn at having a go - So it “ticks” the box as a family friendly sport! The best bit is we all get to ride with experienced champion riders, who are only keen to share their experience!
The braaapster hasn’t missed a beat, she starts first time every time and has more than enough power to get me around. It feels solid while riding and I have enough confidence to throw it around and attempt jumping, which is a new thing for this Gen X’er! I have only managed to break the clutch lever and brake pedal, which was my fault for falling off!
The service at braaap is 2nd to non, the staff are always smiling and energetic, I have never in my time being into a “motorbike shop” and felt so welcome – they have wide range of accessories and parts, but best of all, they really make you feel part of the family…..no matter what background age gender - I’m a hooked braaapie!
So if you are a older guy and thinking that the braaapsters are only for your kids, buy 1 for them and jump on yourself for a test ride – you wont get off it - but beware you will have unhappy kid’s because dad’s playing with their “toy”!!!
Thanks to the all at braaap and keep up the good work!
Keep on braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaping!
