Headed to the Frankston Track on Wed 23/12 , conditions were extreme with the Temp nudging 40deg.
The high temp must have kept everyone away or they must have decided to head to the beach as there must have been only about a dozen bikes in total at the track, this included the “big bikes” braaap was well represented with 4 braapsters , Mike and his boys had spent the whole afternoon at the track, having heaps of fun with their braaapsters! They looked tired but very happy at the end of their ride session!
The Track itself was very dry, but well graded and very sandy in the corners, which made it slippery at some points.
Due to it been so quite, I took the opportunity to practise some of my breaking into the corners, I have been having some issues where I would stall or slide in the sandy corners, had a good 2 hour practice and at the end of the session I had gained heaps of confidence in cornering!
It was also good to get some practice in the heat, as the weather always plays a important part in MX, you never know what you will get on the day!
Merry Christmas and Happy New year to all involved with braaap- I have a feeling that 2010 is going to be huge!
